Poetry continues our story of fashion....at the store opening in Hamburg on August 11!
This new series of Art Pieces follows the idea of poetry on second skin:
When have you written your last love letter?
Whatever you have done to me you are my inspiration key!
And the poem *The dream of life*...became another reality between artist Mia Florentine Weiss with her global Art Project Art Protector and the fashion lable comma, for which she keeps on writing poems on limited t-shirts, tops, jackets and scarfs.Tenderly wrapped in a poetry box and only on sale for a short time.
For the store openings in Cologne, Hamburg und Vienna the fashion label comma launches a limited edition of poetic clothing:
Art Pieces by comma
Fashion and art have always inspired each other. How beautifully this symbiosis actually works shows the case study of the brand comma.
The Art Pieces by Art Protector as limited edition for the comma store openings in Cologne, Hamburg and Vienna were designed in a creative teamwork.
The Art Protector is the contemporary and hybrid art project by Mia Florentine Weiss, who performs her poems travelling the world to transmit “digital poetry”. Her work is a cross-over between the media of film and photography, object and installation art. On each continent Mia Florentine Weiss asks the AP-question: „What´s your place of protection?“
Exclusively for comma and the openings the artist designed six poetic fashion pieces for instance a layered dress with lace, an asymmetrical top and a sophisticated scarf. Poems written in calligraphy, proverbs and sayings like „What’s your dream of life?“, „The right clothes can make me happier than the wrong people.“ or „The language of fashion will always be poetry!“ grace the clothes made of sheer cotton and turn them into true pieces of poetry art.
In each of the three cities – Cologne, Hamburg and Vienna – the comma client can choose between three different designs. Every Art Piece is wrapped in an individually created poetry box. The color of the calligraphy, the selection of the poems as well as the unique packaging will show the customers for which comma store the Art Pieces were created. The artist chose the colors for each city individually: tender hibiscus for Cologne, navy blue for Hamburg and warming grey for Vienna.
Born in Würzburg the artist Mia Florentine Weiss (30) has already published three poetry books, she was starring in several German movie and TV productions and has been working as an international Model. After her academic studies of fashion journalism/medial-communication in Hamburg Mia Florentine Weiss went to Berlin in order to attend acting school, always following her passion for poetry and art.
The vision for her global art project Art Protector could finally be realized in Frankfurt in 2010 by creating her own studio, where her Art Protector-Team works and prepares her poetry performances all over the world.
The Art Pieces by comma are one medium in order to demonstrate the artistic power of the Art Protector and every comma client can feel and live the creative idea of poetry on second skin: “Protection becomes connection!”
